Kaleb

Remember about a year ago I went to meet this lovely young man.

2013-03-18_0013 He was all fresh and curious. He kept his gorgeous eyes open throughout the shoot. Well I got to celebrate his first birthday with him in a photoshoot. He is by far one of the happiest little guys out there and his parents love him so much. Such a cute family. Here are few of the images from that shoot.

Kaleb_1ansThe great thing about being in Cornwall is that I get to use my passion for photography and preserve memories for great friends like Terri who I have known for years. I remember when Terri & Marc started dating ages ago and now to see them as a family is amazing.

To take a look at this gorgeous, stylish and happy boy head over to my album on facebook with all the images from his newborn shoot and his birthday shoot.

Exposed

A few days before Christmas my sister asked me to check her American PO Box, while I was in Massena picking up some last minute Christmas gifts. What she didn’t know is that I would find my very own gift in her PO Box.

Christmas eve we opened our gifts into the late hours of the night. It wasn’t until the next morning that I noticed that this particular gift was missing. I had been looking forward to a lazy Christmas day curled up on the couch reading, but my sister was at her in-laws and I never got my book.

Finally my sister gave me my gift a few weeks ago. Now every chance I get I curl up and read. One of my favorite things to ask people is what path lead them to where they are career wise. Exposed is Jasmine Star‘s story.

I have been reading Jasmine’s blog for quite some time now and I am loving the chance to get to know more about her humble beginnings through this great magazine.

Thanks Melmel for the late Christmas gift the wait might actually have made me love it more.

I gotta go I need to get back to the glossy pages of Exposed

Design team? YES PLEASE

It’s been a while I have so many things to catch up on.

But first thing is first my favorite local scrapbook store (Auntie Em’s scrapbooking)  has put a call out for a new member on their design team… I am so excited about this opportunity I can’t even begin to tell you the ways.

For my application I decided I would make a layout outlining who I am which just happens to be some of the things Emma (the store owner) is looking for.

I used photos that my bestie Anthea took of me during a quick visit in December. They turned out so awesome. I needed an updated profile picture since mine dated back to 2008.

I wanted the layout to portray my style so I started by choosing my favorite paper patterns that would match the photos and narrowing down my photo choice to 5 images. I Photoshopped the photos in a antique brown finish and printed them on my Epson R1900 (they turned out amazing)

Here are the retouched images.

Then I popped over into Illustrator to create my background paper, planning where the main photo would be and printed it on the background card stock.

Finally I kept the layout simple and I really like the final result. It’s not a technique heavy layout but it is definitely a good representation of who I am today I think it’s a cool layout that I will keep to remember what it was like to be 29.

Hope you like it! Here is the final layout…WISH me luck please.

Birth Announcements

Finally I have permission to publish the birth announcements that I created a little while back. I had to wait for them to be mailed out first.

You probably guessed it! They are for my favorite little girl in the world, Gabrielle!

We had a mini photo shoot and were able to get the perfect shot for the birth announcement. Here is the final result. It turned great.

The simple design allowed us to create a french version as well which was perfect for Gabrielle since she is a bilingual girl!

Maternity portraits

Melmel asked me to do maternity portraits of her this summer it was a hard one to schedule, since my summer was overwhelmingly busy but I found an open weekend a couple weeks after her shower.

It was an okay day but it was REALLY hot I felt bad for Melmel. My friends Sue came with me and held my reflector and helped me through the shoot. It’s good to have a friend that knows what I mean when I tell her what I want the light to do. It was a great day lots of outfit changes and we ended it back at Melmel’s and Sue made us a wonderful dinner.

Here are some of my favorites from that shoot. It was very hard to pick just a few she’s so gorgeous.
