It’s been a while I have so many things to catch up on.
But first thing is first my favorite local scrapbook store (Auntie Em’s scrapbooking) has put a call out for a new member on their design team… I am so excited about this opportunity I can’t even begin to tell you the ways.
For my application I decided I would make a layout outlining who I am which just happens to be some of the things Emma (the store owner) is looking for.
I used photos that my bestie Anthea took of me during a quick visit in December. They turned out so awesome. I needed an updated profile picture since mine dated back to 2008.
I wanted the layout to portray my style so I started by choosing my favorite paper patterns that would match the photos and narrowing down my photo choice to 5 images. I Photoshopped the photos in a antique brown finish and printed them on my Epson R1900 (they turned out amazing)
Here are the retouched images.
Then I popped over into Illustrator to create my background paper, planning where the main photo would be and printed it on the background card stock.
Finally I kept the layout simple and I really like the final result. It’s not a technique heavy layout but it is definitely a good representation of who I am today I think it’s a cool layout that I will keep to remember what it was like to be 29.
Hope you like it! Here is the final layout…WISH me luck please.
Nancy
