Lately life has been crazy busy I guess that’s what happens when you leave Cornwall for 10 days in Paris. I’ve been trying to play catch up since and today is my first day off. Let me clarify when I say off, I mean my first full day working from home catching up. In no way am I really off I have a mile long to do list but I am so happy I finally get to tackle some of those things. The list includes: business cards, wedding invites, photo retouching, emailing, blogging, ordering, wedding details, paying bills, ordering gifts, billing and I’m sure I’m forgetting something.
I recently started working from a client’s office to get their work done and it’s been an interesting change of scenery. I’ve spent some time there as well as plenty of time on photo shoots and of course at my regular paycheck job. With all this going on I have also been trying to finish off some renos and taking any free minute to paint. I have no idea how I will find time to move but I will have to make that happen. Have I told you I will soon have a separate office! It is so exciting. I can’t wait to be able to leave work behind me and go home!
I just wanted to stop in and say hi and share these previews from my shoots yesterday. I often try to find a reason why I had my safety net job that I hated so much in the end it was to meet all the wonderful friends I made there.
Angele is one of them and yesterday I took her family’s portraits such a great family with 4 kids and 4 grandchildren it was a busy morning and unfortunately a little colder than what we would have liked but at least it wasn’t raining! Melmel helped me with this shoot must say she’s a great assistant!

In the afternoon I met up with Anne & Pat also a friend from the safety net job. Anne and I became friends when we were both going through a break up. Lucky for Anne it all worked out as now she will be marrying Pat this summer. They are pretty cute together and I’m super excited to be shooting their wedding! My friend Sylvie’s (another safety net friend) husband Andre is second shooting with me it’s fun to have someone else to shoot with and to see the different angles and ideas he gets. Here is one of my favorites from their shoot.
